Passengers Protest Inside Arik Aircraft Due To Inhuman Conditions

The passengers including Nigerian popular singer Banky W on a New York bound Arik Air trip were subjected to untold hardship occasioned by delays in checking in and excruciating heat after boarding the aircraft.

The passengers of flight 'Lagos - New York' were provided with water, but still there were lack of air conditioning in the aircraft cabin.
The passengers were pushed on the edge of their patience. Adults and children are seen fanning themselves with newspapers and eventually taking of their shirts. Without air-conditioning or proper ventilation, passengers would have used up the oxygen on board, recycled it as CO2 and began inhaling the dangerous air.

"Let me out, I can’t take it anymore!" a woman screams. "This wickedness, why are they acting like this," an elderly man asks.

Some of the passengers including popular singer Banky W are seen trying to get the attention of the pilot in the cockpit. Gentleman Banky W tries to calm one of the passengers on board and ironically loses his own cool in doing so.

"Why are you shouting at me? You want to start fighting here? Will you calm down here," Banky W shouts back at the man who also replies him, "Sharrap, I’m flying 10 hours, I’m a married man."

Passengers become very anxious and are screaming to get down, the cabin crew look just as confused.

The video does not show whether air conditioning was restored or the flight eventually took off. The fellow recording the video, one Olubkola Ore-Ofe says the air conditioning was restored. There has been no official statement from Arik Air.

After enduring the airline's shenanigan for a while they took to protesting on board.

There has been different speculations about the health of Former Minister of Information and Communication, Professor Dora Akunyili who was reported to be suffering from an undisclosed ailment and was even hospitalized in the United States.

Dora Akunyili who is part of the delegates for the National Conference confirmed she was indeed ill said “I just came out of a major sickness, for which I thank Almighty God for delivering me.

I have since been declared fit by my doctors and returned to my normal activities. I shed much weight in the course of the sickness – which is normal – “I am well now but only need time to put on more weight.

“I know that God has kept me alive for a purpose, this National Conference being part of that purpose.

However, For the avoidance of doubt, I am strong enough for this all-important National Conference and I look forward to collaborating with other delegates to chart the way for a better Nigeria”.

“There is nothing to worry about either my health or my present stature.

“I thank all my friends for their love and prayers. May Almighty God bless and reward you.” Dora Akunyili said.

Jairam Singhal, 42, who has been drinking cow pee for over a decade was keen to testify to its health benefits:
‘I had diabetes, but ever since I have started drinking cow urine, my diabetes levels have been under control. Someone told me drinking cow urine is good for health. We have
had cows here for over 12 years now, so first thing in the morning we take cow urine and drink it.’
For the cow owners, Singhal, they are excited at the amount of people that come to their ranch to drink urine. He said:
‘Lots of people come here. And of late, the numbers have been rising. We all gather in the morning and drink fresh urine that Mother cow offers us. Just a few years ago, there would hardly be anyone interested in taking cow urine from our shelter. But today lots of people come to our cow shelter. There are cancer patients sometimes – they want to see the benefits of cow urine. It is just a matter of time before people realise the utility of cow urine.
